the only thing better then seeing someone knock it out of the park with their "American Idol" audtion is seeing someone completely bomb. i know that's a little mean, but really..some of these people are horrendous they are so bad, i just refuse to believe that they truly believe they are any good! im not saying i would get up there and be the next carrie underwood, but come on people...it's brutal! lol but watching bad singers is a heck of a lot more funny then watching really good ones! when i was at UF, William Hung from American Idol (remember him? the chinese kid who sang that ricky martin song) came and performed at the O'Connell Center for midnight madness. it was hilarious...he's really bad, but he's so bad it was actually kind of endearing. and you gotta love him for busting out with the gator chomp while he was there!

since i am part of the media, i feel like i should know the answer to the question, but i dont. ive always wanted to know why it is that some stories get tons of coverage and others dont. this most recent event with the marine who's on the run for killing maria lauterbach (who was a also a marine and pregnant) is what's making me think of that. i know this one is pretty scandalous because they're both marines and she was pregnant...but i still always wonder what exactly it is that makes media outlets pick up on one story and not another.
