i seriuosly love watching the summer olympics...and i'm excited that they're airing on NBC so our newscasts can hopefully pull in some more viewers!
i hope everyone is having a great 4th! i did end up working today, but got done a little early so i hung out with jackie at her place and had some good food and company.
this weekend, i need to start getting serious about finding a new place to live when my lease is up here. i love where i live now, but i'm paying almost 900 bucks a month...for a one bedroom! really?!?! that's a little ridiculous! granted it's in a nice area and has nice ammenities but it's too much money. i also recently found out while doing a story chapel hill is the second most expensive city to live in North Carolina...nice. glad i live there! lol (ps, i'm not sure what the number on place is...apparently i wasn't being a very good reporter when i did the story or i would have asked that!)
here is my story from yesterday...the state's newest mental hospital is set to open...of course, it hasnt come without some controversy! that's why we cover these things lol

I would love to know the most expensive city in NC. I guess I need to do my own investigative reporting. My guess is somewhere on the coast though.
horizontal door handles in any mental institution are a big no-no! even i know that. ha! where there is a will, there is a way, especially with the ill population that inhabits mental hospitals. horizontal door handles can be used for all kinds of nasty things: just use your imagination, & i'm sure it's been done. yuck. and no training?! hilariousness! but it looks pretty. and super clean.
i thoroughly enjoyed this report, Laur!
