here is my general feeling about (most) meetings: if it goes more than about an hour and a half, the organizer has not planned it time efficiently. i think there are very few topics that need more than an hour and a half to be talked about. i bring this up because i was working on a story tonight that i had to attend a meeting to cover. the meeting started at 7 pm and didn't end until 9:15 pm. are you kidding me? i would say the last 45 minutes to an hour were just the same things being repeated with different words. honestly, people stop paying attention after an about an hour anyway so you might as well keep it short.
on a completely unrelated note...
tomorrow at noon i have my appointment at a studio to get my picture taken for our website...im excited! our assistant news director told us they will do our make up for us and everything...geez, im going to feel more like a model then a news reporter tomorrow! lol actually, having someone else do your make up is a little scary...i just know they're going to cake it on! i guess as long as it looks good in the picture, i can always wash it off when the pictures are done!
